Taxis are easily identified by their yellow sign and TX on the license
plate. There are taxi stands at the airport , in punda and otrobanda and
outside major hotels. Taxis in Curacao have no meters, but fares are
standard; confirm these before setting out.
Fares are based on 1-4 people, with a 25% surcharge for a fifth passenger
and/or after 11 PM. 25% fee if excess baggage prevents the trunk from
closing. Tipping while not obligatory, is usually 10% of the fare. You can
rent a taxi for sightseeing for about US$ 30 per hour. Curacao has a total
of 200 Taxies.

DETAILS
The rate is for a maximum of 4 (four) persons (includes the
luggage), each additional passenger will be charged as per the
following:
-
an additional 25% for 5 passengers,
-
an additional 50% for 6 passengers,
-
an additional 75% for 7 passengers,
-
an additional 100% for 8 passengers,
-
an additional 125% for 9 passengers.
Tarrifs are increased by 25% between 23:00 hrs(11 p.m.) and 06:00
hrs a.m.
Shopping and/or Sightseeign tours can be arranged on an individual
basis.
